Croatian Food Agency (HAH) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection, and the high auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia, dr. Ivo Josipovic, will celebrate the World Food Day.
On this occasion, on 15 October 2014, at theFaculty of Agriculture in Osijek will be held an international conference: “Reducing Food Loss and Waste: From Farm to Fork”,
It is a great honor for us that we have aconfirmed participation and that conference will be open by President of the Republic of Croatia, dr. Ivo Josipovic.
Our goal is to approach this very important topic from all perspectives, so we gathered eminent lecturers from Croatian and Europe, such as Prof. PhD Mauro Serafini, Head of Functional Food and Metabolic Stress Prevention Laboratory CRA-NUT from Rome, Olivier Touze, Director of Sustainable Development at Groupement des Mousquetaires, “Intermarché”, France and others.
Our desire is to have a set of conclusions reflect the real situation in Croatia and contribute to progress in reducing losses and waste of food.
The conference is intended for all stakeholders in the food chain “from farm to fork”, representatives of the competent authorities, industry, retail, consumer organizations and the scientific community.
The event will be held in Croatian and English, and interpretation will be provided.
Participation in the conference is free, but registration is required, so please, due to the limited capacity sign up as soon as possible, no later than 10 October 2014.
