He graduated Veterinary Medicine at University of Zagreb in 1997. Since 2007 he is employed in Ministry of Agriculture – Veterinary Directorate. By 2010, he worked in Veterinary public health Sector, mainly on the implementation of the ‘hygiene package’ EU legislative frame into Croatian legislation and public health system, within the Croatian accession negotiations with the European Union. Since 2010, he worked in Animal health protection Sector, on the development and the implementation of different National veterinary programmes for control and eradication of certain diseases. From 2012 to 2016 he was on the position of Head of Animal health protection Sector, responsible for national legislation frame within the field of veterinary epidemiology, animal welfare, animal identification and registration system and structure and organization of national veterinary service. In March 2016 he was appointed to the position of assistant minister in the field of veterinary medicine and food safety.
In the past 10 years he participated in numerous professional conferences and training courses, as a participant and as a lecturer in the field of practical implementation of various national programmes and measures for the control and eradication of certain diseases of domestic animals to veterinarians and farmers in the field.
